Common use of School Year Employment Clause in Contracts

School Year Employment. If a teacher is employed on the basis of a school year and 1 such employment contemplates absences from the State payroll during the summer 2 months or vacation periods scheduled by the Appointing Authority which occur during 3 the regular school year, the teacher shall nonetheless remain eligible for an Employer 4 Contribution, provided that the teacher appears on the regular payroll for at least one 5 (1) working day in the payroll period immediately preceding such absences.
