Screenplay Compensation. The Screenplay Compensation is subject to negotiation between Company and the Writer, provided, however, that it shall be no less than the amounts described below for the budget category and type of literary material. The WGA encourages writers and their representatives to negotiate overscale deals and to defer as little of the Writer’s compensation as possible.
