Seasonal Status Clause Samples
Seasonal Status. Appendix 4 (Seasonal Employees Logistics) of this Collective Agreement shall apply to those casual employees assigned to any logistics facility who achieved seasonal status in accordance with such Article.
Seasonal Status. 1. Employees will achieve seasonal status:
a. When employed in Gas Construction on a temporary basis for three (3) consecutive construction seasons, as defined above, and have established seniority, (effective on commencement of the third construction season); or
b. When appointed to a seasonal bid position and have passed probation, and:
i. are subject to layoff at the end of the construction season, and
ii. are subject to recall at the commencement of a new construction season.
2. An employee who has completed 48 months of work in Gas Construction in a seasonal position will be reclassified to permanent status.
3. lf a seasonal employee bids and is appointed to a temporary position, that employee will return to the position previously held at the expiration of the temporary position. lf senior employees are on seasonal layoff, that employee will also be placed on seasonal layoff.
