Section 6.8. Overtime. Any hours worked in excess of the employee’s regularly scheduled time period must be approved by the 8 Superintendent. 10 Employees who work overtime, that is, hours beyond forty (40) hours per workweek, will be paid at the 11 rate of one and one-half (1-1/2) times the regular wage for each hour of overtime worked, or if the 12 employee chooses, he/she may take compensatory time at the same rate, according to Fair Labor 13 Standards Act regulations.
