Common use of Setting New Pay Rates Clause in Contracts

Setting New Pay Rates. Upon reclassification to a higher rated job, the employee shall be paid at the next higher rate of pay on the new schedule and shall progress on that schedule on normal progression dates. Employees who are granted a job within the same wage schedule shall continue to progress in the wage schedule on normal progression dates. Employees who are granted a lower rated job will receive the appropriate rate of pay in the lower wage schedule on normal progression dates.
