Common use of Severity Rates Clause in Contracts

Severity Rates. Severity rates for LGFF equipment will be paid at 50% of the established hourly rate while in non-fire status. LGFF equipment in travel status (equipment traveling under its own power), to or from a Severity assignment, will be paid at 100% of the hourly rate. Travel status must be documented on a shift ticket with a specific start and ending time for the 100% rate to be applicable.
