Shift Definitions. Day shift is defined as being when the majority of hours fall between 0730 and 1530 hours. Evening shift is defined as being when the majority of hours fall between 1530 and 2330 hours. Night shift is defined as being when the majority of hours fall between 2330 and 0730.
