Sick Leave Allowance and Use. Each benefit eligible employee shall be entitled to sick leave with pay at the rate of one working day, eight (8) hours, for each calendar month of full-time service, accumulative to a maximum of 150 days. This shall be calculated each pay period. Employees shall have charged against their sick leave accumulation the actual number of working hours during which they are absent on sick leave. Sick leave privileges shall begin to accrue on the date of City employment, and time on layoff, suspension, leave without pay, or sick leave for injury on the job after sick leave has expired shall not be counted in determining a full month's service.
