Solicitation Documents. The following sections contain documents to be included in the bid or proposal solicitation. XXXXX BACON ACT In Construction contracts involving an excess of $2000, unless exclusively in connection with the demolition or rehabilitation of residential property containing fewer than 8 units, the Contractor shall pay and the Subrecipient shall cause its contractor to pay all laborers and mechanics at a rate not less than those determined by the Secretary of Labor to be prevailing for Boulder County, which rates are to be provided by the Agency. These wage rates are a federally mandated minimum only, and will be superseded by any State or County requirement mandating higher wage rates. The contractor also agrees to comply with Department of Labor Regulations pursuant to the Xxxxx-Xxxxx Act found in 29 CFR Parts 1, 3, 5 and 7, which enforce statutory labor standards provisions. Xxxxx-Xxxxx wage decisions are established by the DOL for various types of construction (e.g. heavy, highway) and apply specifically to Boulder County areas.
