Common use of Special Merit Advancement Clause in Contracts

Special Merit Advancement. Either (1) or (2) below can be awarded, but (1) and (2) may not be combined. Increase cannot exceed ten percent (10%) in the previous twelve (12) months. (1) Upon recommendation of the Department Head and approval by the County Administrator, an employee may be given a five percent (5%) merit step advancement before regularly scheduled as provided in Section 6.18.
