SPLICING. The Employer agrees to pay Employees covered by this Agreement a premium of fifty cents ($0.50) per hour for all hours spent splicing, but not less than one-half shift.

SPLICING. 10.1 IRU Fibers may be physically spliced into the Owner’s Cable. Splicing requires penetration of the Cable sheath, exposing the Fibers within the sheath. In order to maintain the integrity of Owner’s Cable after Joint Acceptance, the Owner, or a contractor operating under Owner’s direction, must perform all splicing performed on the Owner’s Cable.
SPLICING. If Lessee provides cable from Lessee's Infrastructure to the City in a timely manner, then upon Xxxxxx's request, the City shall splice Lessee-provided fiber cable at designated City-owned Attachment Points. The City shall be responsible for pulling Xxxxxx's fiber cable, and splicing Lessee's fiber strand within the City-owned Fiber Optic Infrastructure. Ownership of fiber on the City’s side of the Demarcation Points shall be vested with the City. SPLICING. Section 10.1 ToledoTel shall have the right to perform the physical splicing of any fiber owned by ToledoTel into the portion of the Fiber System within its IRU and to require that all physical splicing of fiber into the associated cable be performed as provided herein. Splicing can be performed at either designed end point(s) using a pigtail to bypass the cable (“End-Point Splicing”) or at a splice point that requires access to the cable (“Splice-Point Splicing”). In order to maintain the integrity of the Fiber System, ToledoTel or its contractors acting under ToledoTel’s direction must perform all End-Point Splicing and all Splice-Point Splicing anywhere on the Fiber System. For any portion of the Fiber System that is leased to an entity other than ToledoTel, ToledoTel may charge the entity requesting the splicing a comparable rate to the one it charges when splicing into fiber owned by the Lewis County PUD District No. 1.

SPLICING. 4. Clearance to forms including chair heights.
SPLICING. Splicing of built up/compound/latticed sections shall be done in such a fashion that each component of the section is joined in a staggered manner. Where no butt weld is used for splicing, the meeting ends of two pieces of joist/channel/ built up section shall be ground flush for bearing on each other and suitable flange and web splice plates shall be designed and provided for the full strength of the flange/web of the section and welds designed accordingly. Where full strength butt weld is used for splicing (after proper edge preparation of the web and flange plates) of members fabricated out of joist/channel/angles/built up section, additional flange and web plates shall be provided, over and above the full strength butt welds, to have 40% strength of the flange and web. Where a cover plate is used over a joist/channel section the splicing of the cover plate and channel/joist sections shall be staggered by minimum 500mm. Extra splice plate shall be used for the cover plate and joint/channel section as per clause 5.2.8.2 or 5.2.8.3. Prior approval shall be obtained by the Contractor for locations of splices where not shown on design drawings. Only a single splice at approved location shall be allowed for members’ up to a length of 6 to 7m. Maximum two numbers of splices shall be allowed for members exceeding this length.
SPLICING. Southern Telecom will perform all Fiber splicing, except -------- that IFN will, at its own expense, splice the Fibers to the Equipment and to any additional equipment or hardware. Southern Telecom will leave at least one hundred (100) feet of the Fiber at the demarcation points at either end of the Route.
