Common use of Storage of Tools Clause in Contracts

Storage of Tools. Suitable accommodation shall be provided for the preservation of the employee's tools and clothing. An electrical worker, whilst engaged on a construction site where they are unable to arrange suitable free storage accommodation for their tools, shall be provided with same by the Employer. Provided further that, where an employee is absent from work because of illness or accident occurring during working hours, the Employer shall ensure that the employee's tools are either transported to the Employer's premises or are securely stored during their absence. All employees shall be allowed such reasonable time as the Employer deems necessary during working hours on the last working day of each week to put their tools, benches and machines in order.
