Common use of Supervision and Superintendence of Construction Clause in Contracts

Supervision and Superintendence of Construction. A. DESIGN/BUILDER shall supervise, inspect and direct the Construction competently and efficiently, devoting such attention thereto and applying such skills and expertise as may be necessary to provide the Construction in accordance with the Contract Documents. DESIGN/BUILDER shall be solely responsible for the means, methods, techniques, sequences and procedures employed for the provision of Construction. DESIGN/BUILDER shall be responsible to see that the completed Construction complies accurately with the Contract Documents and shall keep OWNER advised as to the quality and progress of the Construction. B. DESIGN/BUILDER shall keep on the Site at such times as DESIGN/BUILDER determines are reasonably necessary to complete the Work a competent superintendent. The superintendent will be DESIGN/BUILDER’s representative at the Site and shall have authority to act on behalf of DESIGN/BUILDER.
