Common use of The BIM Model, Drawings Clause in Contracts

The BIM Model, Drawings. specifications and other documents prepared by the Project Architect, its consultants, or other consultants retained by the Owner for the Project that describe the Work to be executed by the Construction Manager (the “Construction Documents”) are instruments of service and shall remain the property of their authors whether the Project for which they are made is executed or not. The Construction Manager shall be permitted to retain one record set of the Construction Documents. All other copies of the Construction Documents shall be returned to their respective authors or suitably accounted for. The Construction Manager and its Subcontractors are authorized to reproduce and use portions of the Construction Documents as necessary and appropriate for the execution of the Work. The Construction Manager and its Subcontractors shall not use the Construction Documents on any other projects.
