The tenant's death. If you are the executor of a sole tenant who has died you must give us four weeks’ notice to quit. You should be aware that any housing benefit that the tenant was entitled to ends from the date of death. Any arrears of rent which may be left at the end of the tenancy are charged to the deceased tenant’s estate.
