Transportation Allowance. 26.1 An employee who uses his/her own motor vehicle to conduct business on behalf of and at the request of the Employer shall receive an allowance of thirty-six cents (36¢) per kilometre. Minimum allowance shall be two dollars ($2.00). 26.2 Where an employee uses his/her own motor vehicle to conduct business at the request of the Employer, and to the extent that Insurance Corporation of British Columbia insurance premiums are necessarily increased to recognize such usage, the Employer shall reimburse the employee that portion of the premium representing the insurance necessary to move the employee's coverage from "to and from work" to "business use".
