Truth and Reconciliation Day. One additional day in each year that, in the opinion of the Employer, in consultation with the Union, is recognized to be a civic holiday in the area; or, if no such additional day is recognized as a civic holiday, the first Monday in August.

Truth and Reconciliation Day. NorQuest is committed to reconciliation and ensuring that the tragic history and ongoing legacy of residential schools is never forgotten. In support of this, NorQuest and the NCFA agree to recognize September 29th, 2023 as a paid holiday in addition to those outlined in the Collective Agreement between the College and NCFA.
Truth and Reconciliation Day and any day proclaimed to be a holiday by the Government of the Province of Alberta or the Government of Canada. Further, any day proclaimed by the government of the municipality to be a civic holiday for general observance by the municipal community in which the Centre is located.
Truth and Reconciliation Day. Upon three (3) consecutive months of continuous employment with the Company, employees will be granted five (5) personal days per year. The first three (3) personal days that are taken will be paid at 100% of the employee’s step rate. The other two (2) personal days that are taken will be unpaid days. Personal days can be taken for any reason and are exempt from the list of qualifying conditions provided within the federal legislation.

When any of the General (Statutory) Holidays fall on Saturday or Sunday and are not proclaimed as being observed some other day the preceding Friday or the following Monday, when one (1) day is involved, or the preceding Friday and following Monday, when two (2) days are involved, shall be deemed to be the holidays for the purpose of this Agreement; provided that such day does not conflict with the calendar of school days as stated by the Minister of Education in the calendar for the school year. When any of the General (Statutory) Holidays fall on an employee's scheduled day off, the employee shall receive another day off with pay.

Truth and Reconciliation Day. Recognizing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s 94 Calls to Action, the Board of Education and NATA are mutually committed to respecting, implementing, and integrating Indigenous languages, and spiritual and cultural beliefs in education. On or about September 30 of each year, teachers shall be granted a professional development day to attend Indigenous language, spiritual, cultural, or ceremonial events or participate in professional development on Truth and Reconciliation.
