Two Personal Holidays. Annually, comprehensive leave eligible employees shall receive two personal holidays to be added to their vacation bank on the paycheck that includes February 1st. New employees eligible for comprehensive leave benefits who are hired on or before November 15th shall receive two personal holidays to be added to their vacation bank on the last day of the first pay period following their date of hire. These two personal holidays shall continue to be administered per contract language in each individual Appendix. In no event shall there be more than two personal holidays awarded per year.

  • Religious Holidays When a religious holiday, not observed as a holiday, as provided in Section 2 above, falls on a supervisor's regularly scheduled work day, the supervisor shall be entitled to that day off to observe the religious holiday. Time to observe religious holidays shall be taken without pay except where the supervisor has sufficient accumulated vacation leave or accumulated compensatory time, or, by mutual consent, is able to make the time up. Supervisors shall notify the Appointing Authority at least twenty-eight (28) calendar days prior to the leave.

  • Personal Business Day On April 01 of each fiscal year, one (1) day (eight (8) hours) of paid leave will be credited to employees for use in personal or special circumstances. At no time will an employee have a credit of more than ten (10) Personal Business Days. The granting of such personal leave will be subject to normal approval by supervision subject to operational requirements, and will not be unreasonably withheld. Upon termination of employment with the Company, unused day(s) will be paid off at the employee's current salary in effect at the time.
