Umbrella/Excess Liability Sample Clauses

The Umbrella/Excess Liability clause requires a party to maintain additional layers of liability insurance coverage beyond the limits of their primary policies. This coverage typically applies after the underlying insurance limits are exhausted, providing extra protection against large claims that exceed standard policy amounts. By mandating this clause, contracts ensure that sufficient financial resources are available to cover significant losses, thereby reducing the risk of inadequate compensation in the event of major incidents.
