Common use of UNION COMMITTEES AND STEWARDS Clause in Contracts

UNION COMMITTEES AND STEWARDS. 4.01 (a) The Company will recognize a Union Xxxxxxx Body hereinafter called “Xxxxxxx Body”. The Xxxxxxx Body will be comprised of Stewards as designated, one of whom shall be the Chief and two of whom shall be the Executive Board. The remaining three (3) stewards are as follows: 1 - Maintenance Xxxxxxx 1 - Process Xxxxxxx 1 - Other Xxxxxxx For conferences and meetings held under any article of the agreement, the Company will recognize a Union Committee that shall not exceed four (4) including the Chief Xxxxxxx. For grievance conferences in step three the company will recognize a Union Committee that shall not exceed three (3) including the Chief Xxxxxxx. In addition to the above committees, the President of the Local and/or a representative of the National Union may attend such conferences and negotiations when so desired by the Union. The Company will compensate up to three (3) members of the Union Contract Negotiating Committee who are employees of NOVA Chemicals (Canada) Ltd. Sarnia Complex for lost time from their regular schedule spent in contract negotiation meetings with the Company. Compensation will only be paid up to Conciliation.
