Unsuitable Material. As defined in Part 2 of the Contract Documents (“Technical Requirements”). All unsuitable material shall be disposed of and/or treated as discussed in Section 106.04 at no additional cost to the Department. Utilities. Private, county, city, municipal or public facilities structure or infrastructure, designed, owned, and maintained for public use, or to provide a public service such as electricity, water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, drainage culverts, telecommunications, conduits, gas, oil, fiber optics, and cable television that are not identified as a Pavement Structure, Roadway, Highway, Street, or Traveled Way. Vouchered. The action of approval by the Department; constitutes the date of release to the State Comptroller for payment. Wearing Course (See Surface course). The top and final layer of any pavement Work. As defined in Section 1.2 of the General Conditions Working Drawings. Stress sheets, shop drawings, erection plans, Falsework plans, framework plans, cofferdam plans, bending diagrams for reinforcing steel, or any other supplementary plans or similar data the Design-Builder is required to submit to the Department’s Representative for record purposes. 102.01—Prequalification
Unsuitable Material. The Design-Builders’ geotechnical engineer shall confirm that slopes, earthwork, pavement, and foundation subgrades satisfy the design and Contract Document requirements. The Design-Builders’ geotechnical engineer shall perform an inspection of all embankment and pavement subgrades and minor structure excavations immediately prior to placement of embankment fill, aggregate base, subbase or bedding materials to identify excessively soft, loose, dry or saturated soils that exhibit excessive pumping, weaving or rutting under the weight of the construction equipment. Materials unsuitable for use in the Work, as defined in Part 2 of the Contract, shall be disposed of at an approved Disposal Area or landfill licensed to receive such Material unless the materials can be adequately treated in place through chemical and/or mechanically stabilized method that shall be approved by the Department. Such method shall be approved prior to use in the Work. All Unsuitable Materials shall be disposed of off-site and/or treated in place at no cost to the Department. Design-Builder shall identify unsuitable Materials and methods of treatment on the plans and cross sections.

The Design- Builders’ geotechnical engineer shall perform an inspection of all embankment and pavement subgrades and minor structure excavations immediately prior to placement of embankment fill, aggregate base, subbase or bedding materials to identify excessively soft, loose, dry or saturated soils that exhibit excessive pumping, weaving or rutting under the weight of the construction equipment. Such materials are considered unsuitable and must be removed or modified in place to provide adequate support for embankment, pavement subgrade or minor structures. Materials unsuitable for use in the Work shall be disposed of at an approved Disposal Area or landfill licensed to receive such Material unless the materials can be adequately treated in place through chemical and/or mechanically stabilized method that shall be approved by the Department. Such method shall be approved prior to use in the Work. All Unsuitable Materials shall be disposed of off-site and/or treated in place at no cost to the Department. Design-Builder shall identify unsuitable Materials and methods of treatment on the plans and cross sections.
Unsuitable Material. Dredged sediment that has been tested and determined by the DMMO to be Not suitable for Unconfined Aquatic Disposal (NUAD). This unsuitable material may be disposed at permitted beneficial reuse sites such as Montezuma Wetlands Project or at an approved upland landfill facility. Actual disposal site shall be designated by Port. Alternate sites for beneficial reuse of the material may also be approved by the Port.
Unsuitable Material. Material removed during maintenance, which must be disposed of in designated locations. Includes material with substantial amounts of vegetation or other objectionable material.
Unsuitable Material. As defined in Part 2 of the Contract Documents (“Technical Requirements”). All unsuitable material shall be disposed of and/or treated as discussed in Section 106.04 at no additional cost to the Department.
Unsuitable Material. If, during translation, editing, proof reading, or any other process, it is discovered that the documentation contains unsuitable material, work will stop immediately, and the offending documentation, in both its original and partially processed form, will be forwarded to the relevant authorities for their consideration and possible action. Unsuitable material includes, but is not limited to, pornography in any form, racism, sexism, harassment, libel, slander, defamation of character, incitement to commit any illegal act, or any other material which could bring 345ARC into disrepute. Actions taken by the relevant authorities could include arrest and prosecution leading to fines, imprisonment, or both.
Unsuitable Material. Material that is poorly consolidated or otherwise unsuitable in place shall be removed and lawfully disposed of from embankment areas, drainage courses, and other areas as shown on the plans or as directed by the ENGINEER. This unsuitable material includes but is not limited to alluvium, colluvium County of Orange, OC Public Works and landslide materials. The unsuitable material shall be removed entirely from its original location and may be used in other areas if approved by the ENGINEER. Limits of removal of unsuitable material shall be established and directed by the ENGINEER. Should CONTRACTOR choose to stockpile material, he/she must discuss the location(s) and duration(s) of stockpile with the ENGINEER. The CONTRACTOR should note that in no case shall the stockpile material remains in the channel bed over the weekend or when rain is forecasted. The CONTRACTOR will not be compensated for excavating and hauling from the stockpile. Quantities of unsuitable material removed shall be measured by the average end areas or the number of hauling equipment used to transport the excavated material as mutually agreed by the CONTRACTOR and the ENGINEER.
Unsuitable Material. Material that is classified as "unsuitable" shall be material having at least one of the following properties:
