Unused Vacation Days. 1. An employee who resigns, or is subject of a reduction in force, or is discharged, or retires, or who is transferred to a non-unit position shall receive cash payment for any unused vacation days accumulated under the terms of A. 2. above.
2. An employee who dies shall have payment for his unused vacation days given to his estate.
3. For the purposes of payment under B. 1. and 2. above, employees shall be paid for each eligible accumulated vacation day at the rate of 1/240th of the annual salary.
Unused Vacation Days. Any vacation days from the prior year which remain unused by December 31 of the next year, may not be accumulated. A maximum of 20 days will be paid at retirement or separation from the district.
Unused Vacation Days. The accumulation of unused vacation is limited to 30 (after the deduction of cash out days) unless circumstances—such as serving on a bargaining team or spearheading a special project—makes it difficult to take vacation leave. In these cases, more than thirty (30) days may be carried over subject to the approval of the superintendent. Accumulated vacation may be taken in a subsequent year, provided no more than four (4) weeks of continuous vacation may be permitted. Any deviation must be approved by the superintendent in writing.
Unused Vacation Days. A maximum of fifteen (15) unused vacation days may be carried over from one school year to the next. Of the 15 days carried over, a maximum of eight (8) additional days of unused vacation time may be converted each year to the employee’s personal sick leave. In the event a member of the bargaining unit is unable to utilize vacation accruals and has more than fifteen (15) days of vacation at the end of the fiscal year, these unused vacation accruals shall be converted to sick leave.

Unused Vacation Days. Administrators eligible for paid vacation days provided in this plan must use these days no later than June 30 of each school year. If for any reason the administrator is unable to take or does not fully use all of the available paid vacation days by June 30, then unused days may be accumulated or banked up to a maximum accumulation of 30 days. No administrator shall be permitted to accumulate unused vacation days in excess of 30. Any vacation days which have not been used in a particular school year and which exceed the 30-day maximum accumulation cannot be used in any subsequent school year and shall not be paid. In no event shall the South Redford School District pay or reimburse an administrator for any unused vacation days in excess of 30.
Unused Vacation Days. At the time of retirement, employees shall be entitled to compensation for vacation time benefits in the year of retirement on a prorated basis as of the date of retirement.
Unused Vacation Days. Unused vacation time may be accumulated to a maximum of five (5) days per contract year. Unit members must submit their request to roll over unused vacation days prior to June 30 to the Director of Facilities for approval by the Superintendent of Schools and their designee(s) for use during the following contract year. Requests to roll over more than five (5) days will be submitted to the Director of Facilities and considered by the Superintendent of Schools based on the extenuating circumstances provided by the unit member. This decision is at the sole discretion of the Superintendent of Schools and is not grievable and does not establish a practice for future requests.
Unused Vacation Days. Any unused vacation days shall be carried from year to year (on an academic year basis) except that in no event shall more than 60 days be carried over to the succeeding year. Payment upon termination shall not exceed 60 days.
Unused Vacation Days. For retirees who do not meet the eligibility requirements of section 14.01 or 14.02, unused vacation leave days will be paid post-retirement and will not be considered creditable earnings.
