Common use of Variable Rate Plans Clause in Contracts

Variable Rate Plans. The Platinum Plus 2, Platinum, Classic, Student and Share Secured Visa plans are variable rate plans. The APR may increase and decrease 4 times a year and is determined by adding the Margin (described below) to an index. (For Platinum Plus plans, the APR will not change during the first 12 billing cycles.) The “Index” is the highest Prime Rate as published in The Wall Street Journal on the 20th day of March, June, September and December. The new APR will be effective on the first day of the billing cycle that begins in the calendar month following any APR adjustment. An increase in the APR may result in more monthly payments and higher payment amounts. In no event will the APR be greater than 18.00%. The Prime Rate is a pricing index and is not the lowest or best interest rate available. Your margin is % (the “Margin”). The initial rates are: Platinum Plus 2 Visa, 0.17 % monthly periodic rate ( 1.99 % corresponding ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE) for 6 billing cycles (months.). After that, the regular APR will be calculated by adding the Margin to the Index. If the regular APR were in effect today, this would result in 0.94 % monthly periodic rate ( 11.25 % corresponding ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE). Platinum Rewards Visa 2 Promo 0.00 % monthly periodic rate ( 0.00 % corresponding ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE) for 6 billing cycles (months.). After that, the regular APR will be calculated by adding the Margin to the Index. If the regular APR were in effect today, this would result in 1.02 % monthly periodic rate ( 12.25 % corresponding ANNUAL PERCENTAGE RATE).
