Wage Treatment. a. Wage progression increases for employees who accept or receive jobs in accordance with Section 3. above, shall be based on the Wage Schedule applicable to the new job classification, and the progression on that schedule shall be determined by the employee’s wage length of service as follows: (1) If employees are assigned to vacancies where the current rate of pay of the employee’s regular job is below the rate for the appropriate wage step under the new schedule, the employee’s rate of pay shall be raised to the applicable rate.
