While Negotiations Are in Progress. 1. Recess - The Chairman of either group may recess the group for independent caucus of reasonable duration at any time.
While Negotiations Are in Progress. A. While negotiations are in progress, there will be no public releases of information to the media unless agreed upon by both parties or unless a ten (10) day strike notice has been filed with SERB. When releases are agreed upon, said releases shall be in writing and both parties shall approve the release prior to its dissemination.
B. Both parties may issue progress reports to their members so as to keep their members informed with respect to the progress of negotiations.
C. It shall be the responsibility of both parties to inform their respective members that all progress reports are confidential.
While Negotiations Are in Progress. 1. Meetings shall be in executive session.
2. Either team may caucus at any time. A caucus shall not be longer than thirty (30) minutes unless otherwise mutually agreed.
3. When tentative agreement is reached on a proposal, it shall be initialed by a representative of each team.
4. During negotiations, joint study committees may be created by mutual consent.
5. Prior to and during the period of negotiations, the Board and Association agree that, upon written request and in a reasonable time period, information routinely prepared for the Board or the Association will be exchanged.
6. Progress reports may be made to the represented bodies by their respective team at the discretion of the team.
7. When a tentative agreement is reached on all terms for a successor agreement, it shall be reduced to writing and submitted to the Association and the Board for ratification. Following ratification by both parties, it shall be signed by their Presidents and a copy sent to SERB.

While Negotiations Are in Progress a. CAUCUS - Upon request of either party, the negotiation meeting shall be interrupted to permit the requesting party a period of time, not to exceed thirty (30) minutes, to caucus, unless extended time is mutually agreed upon.
While Negotiations Are in Progress. 1. News Releases While negotiations are in progress on any issue, it is agreed that neither party to this agreement will resort to the use of public media in any effort to affect the outcome of the negotiations. Any release or communication to the public relative to the negotiations must be mutually agreed upon in terms of content prior to its release. The above item is intended to prevent detrimental publicity, which could undermine the good faith principle inherent in this document.
While Negotiations Are in Progress. A. Matters Subject to Negotiations
1. Matters subject to negotiations shall be wages, hours, and terms and conditions of employment, together with the continuation, modification or deletion of any provisions of the existing agreement.
B. Recesses
1. The chairman of either group may recess his/her group for any independent caucus at any time. Caucuses shall be of reasonable length.
C. Item Agreement
1. As negotiation items receive tentative agreement they shall be reduced to writing and initialed by each party. The initials indicate a tentative agreement has been reached by the respective parties. Once a tentative agreement is reached, no further discussion shall take place on that issue except by mutual agreement.
