WORKER EMPOWERMENT. 22.01 The Employer and the Union recognize that it is beneficial to both employees and Management to create a cooperative working environment within the Crisis Centre. Such cooperation will create an environment which will result in a successful Employer-Employee relationship. In order to facilitate this, the Employer and Employees agree to attend and participate in regular staff meetings to discuss program, staff, administrative, Employer techniques of work, Employee concerns, Employer progress and other issues which will create and maintain a cooperative working environment.

  • Workers’ Compensation The Contractor acknowledges the State of California requires every employer to be insured against liability for workers’ compensation or to undertake self-insurance in accordance with the provisions of the Labor Code. If Contractor has employees, a copy of the certificate evidencing such insurance, a letter of self-insurance, or a copy of the Certificate of Consent to Self-Insure shall be provided to County prior to commencement of work.

  • Shiftworkers 35.1 Shiftworker for the purposes of this clause is defined as an Employee who performs Shiftwork and who starts or finishes a shift outside of the ordinary hours set out at clause 34.2 above.

  • Health Overcoming or managing one’s disease(s) as well as living in a physically and emotionally healthy way;

  • Family Care and Medical Leave An unpaid Family Care and Medical Leave shall be granted, to the extent of and subject to the restrictions as set forth below, to an employee who has been employed for at least twelve (12) months and who has served for one hundred thirty days (130) workdays during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the effective date of the leave. For purposes of this section, furlough days and days worked during off-basis time shall count as "workdays". Family Care and Medical Leave absences of twenty (20) consecutive working days or less can be granted by the immediate administrator or designee. Leaves of twenty (20) or more consecutive working days can be granted only by submission of a formal leave application to the Classified Personnel Assignments Branch.

  • Unemployment 1. If an employee or former employee is wholly or partially unemployed, he may claim benefits pursuant to the WW and also claim an enhanced benefit pursuant to the BWRHBO if he complies with the provisions laid down in these regulations.
