Common use of Working During Meal Period Clause in Contracts

Working During Meal Period. If employees are required to work their normal meal period, such work shall be paid at straight times, and at the first opportunity, employees shall be granted twenty (20) minutes to eat without deduction from pay. Should an employee, as a result, work more than eight (8) hours that day, such extra hours shall be paid at overtime rate.
