The Napa County Health and Human Services Agency requests qualified proposals for the provision of evidenced based Smoking Cessation Programs. Particular preference will be given to programs that strategically identify smokers or those at risk of smoking, manage smoking cessation through evidence-based practices, and collect ongoing data on outcomes of the intervention(s). An amount of $75,000 per year has been allocated for these services starting July 1, 2018. The funds available, which have been allocated from the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement (MSA) grant funds, are available to provide these services to individuals in Napa County who would otherwise not receive such services through their health care provider and/or the Affordable Care Act. Included in the proposal shall be a component to support community education regarding the risks of use of electronic cigarettes (e-cigs) and/or Electronic Nicotine Delivery Devices (ENDDs).
