RICHMOND YOUTH RECREATION ASSOCIATION COACHES CODE OF CONDUCT AGREEMENTCoaches Code of Conduct Agreement • October 20th, 2014
Contract Type FiledOctober 20th, 2014All Coaches must display leadership. All coaches and assistant coaches must recognize that they hold a position of trust and responsibility in a program that deals with a sensitive and formative period of a child's development. It is required that the coaches have understanding, patience, and the capacity to work with children. Knowledge of the game is essential, but it is not the only badge of a RYRA coach. You must be something more than merely a coach. It is your responsibility to inspire respect. You must be sensitive to the mental and physical limitations of children. You must recognize that the game is a vehicle of training and enjoyment for the children. Children are strongly influenced by adult ideas and aspirations. They often idolize their coaches, not because they are the most successful, but because they are a source of inspiration.
