In accordance with WU’s overall strategy for strengthening research activities, outstanding achievements in research have been included into WU’s performance bonus scheme. An Operational Agreement on Performance Bonuses for Academic Staff (Betriebsvereinbarung zur Regelung der Leistungsprämien für das wissenschaftliche Personal) was negotiated with the Academic Staff Council, which entered into effect in October 2006.
