STEPHEN MEMORIAL ANIMAL SHELTER Located at 2290 235h Street, Oskaloosa 641-673-3991 The Stephen Memorial Animal Shelter was created with a 28E agreement effective July 1, 1992, by the City of Oskaloosa, Mahaska County and the Mahaska County Humane Society. This is in memory of Harold and Myrtle Stephen of New Sharon, their estate left a sizable amount of money to care for animals. Members are appointed no later than Nomveber 30 of the year before the beginning of their respective terms. The staggered terms shall be for two calendar years commencing January 1.
