RTE is strongly established in the agricultural sector (65% of its network). It very quickly became evident that it was in the best interests of RTE to sign multi-year agreements with farmers and their representatives. In light of this, RTE has maintained a partnership with the agricultural profession since 1964. Several agreements have followed since 1970, between EDF at the time, RTE and EDF distributor today, and APCA (Permanent Assembly of French Chambers of Agriculture), FNSEA (National Federation of Farmers Unions), and SERCE (Association of Electrical Engineering Companies).
