At that meeting the Town Council will consider a fire protection service agreement under which the Chesterton FD would respond to calls in the areas along I-94 from the 28.2 mile marker to the Porter- LaPorte County Line Road, with a least one piece of fire apparatus and three firefighters, including an officer. In exchange for that fire protection service, Pine Township would pay the Town of Chesterton
