Contract Type FiledNovember 17th, 2014This extension project to be realized within the scope of the “Collaborative Decision Making Project” devised between DHMI, Turkish Airlines and TAV Airports aims to increase terminal capacity, maximise service comfort for passengers using Ataturk Airport, improve the flow of increased traffic and maximise resource efficiency. As per the contract; 32 additional check-in islands will be built in addition to the existing 224 islands, the capacity of the baggage handling system will be improved and the mezzanine floor on the land side will be moved to the air side increasing the passenger area in the air side. In addition, to expand the international terminal, the existing cargo terminal will be demolished and replaced with a 27.000 m² passenger terminal and four additional passenger bridges will be added to the 26 existing passenger bridges. These bridges will have the optionality of providing eight parking spaces for single aisle aircraft and four parking spaces for twin aisle aircraft.
