This deliverable describes an initial architecture for the MICO platform based on high-level re- quirements known already at the beginning of the project. It focusses on the core architecture, i.e. infrastructure, communication, persistence, orchestration, and technological decisions, as well as on development infrastructure and best practices, and is supposed to give guidance on how to start development of the platform. Requirements currently gathered in WP7/WP8 and specifications under development in WP2-WP5 will be taken into account in a revised version of this document.
