Some of them determined to collaborate with their partners. Supply chain management (SCM) had been exploded onto the business scene as one of corporate management’s major concerns over the past decades. Firms with the most competitive supply chains were and will continue to be the big winners in contemporary business. SCM had become a key to competitive advantage. This research explored the relations between foreign direct investments by Japanese manufacturers in Vietnam and the domestic suppliers. Base on collaboration theories and supply chain theories, a specialist questionnaire was utilized to evaluate the relationships.
