The following Agreement, effective as of the 1st day of July 2007, by and between the Town of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, hereinafter referred to as the "Town", and Local 1651, International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO, hereinafter referred to as the "Union", is recorded in written form to meet the requirements as set forth in Section 28-9.1-6 of the General Laws of Rhode Island, 1956, as amended. This agreement is designed to provide for an equitable and peaceful procedure for the resolution of differences in accordance with the grievance procedure specified herein, in order to maintain and promote a harmonious relationship between the Union and the Town and to encourage a more efficient and progressive fire service in the public interest.
