In accordance with national BSA and Troop 54 policy, the Troop is led by its Scouts. In Troop 54, the adult leadership facilitates the Troop program, provides support and direction, in order to enable and support Scout leadership of the Troop. Therefore, when a Scout assumes a leadership position in order to advance beyond First Class rank, it is important that she understand the nature and quality of her individual commitment and the dedication needed to carry out her responsibilities.
