This equipment is essential for the City to meet the National Polluted Elimination System Permit requirements for removing debris from the City’s storm water system before it enters the lakes. The Vactor Vacuum Recycler Trucks are able to use non-potable water which will ultimately result in time and cost savings. By recycling the water in the City’s storm water system, the equipment does not have to leave the work site to obtain more water. Without the ability to recycle, the equipment would need to be refilled with potable water five (5) times a day, which is labor intensive, time-consuming, and reduces overall production.
