WHEREAS: This agreement must be in effect before the Leech Lake Band ofOjibwe assumes financial responsibility for the cost of out-of-home placement for children eligible for the American Indian Child Welfare Initiative. The American Indian Child Welfare Initiative provides a grant award to the Leech Lake Band ofOjibwe for the purpose of assisting the band in providing child welfare services to American Indian children residing on the Leech Lake Reservation.
