Internships allow students not only to apply their theoretical knowledge in a work situation but also to evaluate their own skills and identify needs for further education. From this perspective, it is important to remember that the internship also has an educational purpose, which distinguishes it from a real job. The Department of Languages and Literatures believes that a successful internship experience depends on the cooperation of all parties involved: the Student, the Course Coordinator and the Host Organisation. There must exist a common understanding and agreement as to the purpose of the internship as well as to the separate roles and responsibilities of each party.
