USA Volleyball is the National Governing Body (NGB) for all Volleyball under the US Olympic Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and therefore accountable to the USOPC to adhere to their policies regarding athlete and coach safety, training and administration. The USA Volleyball Operating Code requires that an individual register where they reside and a team registers where the club is registered as determined by the principal address of the leadership of the club. USA Volleyball empowers the 40 Regional Volleyball Associations (RVAs) to govern activities within the Region boundaries and the individuals and teams that are registered with them. The Region is held accountable if an issue arises with an individual and/or club team registered from their Region – this includes but is not limited to member registration with USAV, adherence to USAV SafeSport and background screen requirements, USAV and Region communication, USAV insurance, player/coach behavior and/or discipline, referee/scorer ident
