Caln Township seeks to understand the structural condition of the historic Caln Meetinghouse and the extent of repairs that may be needed if the Township were to take ownership of the building. Since we do not have any information about the building in terms of square footage, number of rooms, or type of construction, we propose a phased approach where Phase 1 includes an initial field reconnaissance and letter report, which can be accomp anied by a proposal for a more detailed structural assessment. This approach allows the proposal for the structural evaluation to be informed by the findings of the initial assessment, and the greater accuracy of the proposal for the second phase of services will be mutually beneficial to the Township and Gilmore & Associates (G&A). Due to the historic nature of the Caln Meetinghouse, we plan to engage a historical architect to assist with both phases of the structural assessment so that cost and constructability concerns relative to historical elemen
