This training program is being implemented pursuant to the On-the-Job Training (OJT) National Emergency Grants (NEGs), funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act), designed to provide employment-related services for eligible dislocated workers impacted by recession-related layoffs. The purpose of the OJT Agreement is not to subsidize wages or reduce wage costs, but to purchase training and to reimburse the Employer for the extraordinary costs associated with training the Participant. Agreed upon training will lead to employment and promotional opportunities and enable the Participant to achieve and maintain economic self-sufficiency.
