All written grievances must be submitted within ten (10) working days after the cir- cumstances which gave rise to it came, or ought to have come, to the attention of the individual concerned. The aggrieved employee shall first contact his steward. If the steward considers the matter to be a grievance, as defined in A.4.1, then the employee accompanied by his steward may present his grievance to his immediate supervisor in the area or work location where the grievance is alleged to have occurred. The grievance shall be in writing, signed by the steward, and shall advise management of the remedy sought and any provision of this collective agreement upon which the grievance is based. The supervisor shall answer the grievance in writing within five (5) working days after it has been presented.
