The U.S. EPA (EPA) Food Recovery Challenge (FRC) encourages organizations to reduce waste and conserve resources, as well as promote more sustainable materials management practices. FRC partners (endorsers and participants) benefit from reduced resource use and waste generation by saving money and being recognized as environmental stewards. FRC endorsers commit to recruiting organizations in their communities to participate in the FRC, promote the FRC through education and outreach activities, and connect organizations to local representatives and useful resources.
