As a condition on accepting my employment at the City of Bloomington, Illinois, Fire Department (“BFD”), I understand the cumulative costs of training and equipping a new firefighter is significant. I am aware Bloomington, Illinois, incurs significant expenses and, if I leave prior to the expiration of my probationary period, that I may be liable up to and including Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000) as reimbursement for the training and equipment costs.
