The Municipality of Crowsnest Pass and the Municipal District of Pincher Creek No.9 share a common history. Both have distinct and similar municipal characteristics, and both are rural municipalities based upon building and maintaining core services including roads, and bridges which are designed to service an agricultural and resource-based economy. Although Crows- nest has become a more urban culture while the MD has remained mostly agricultural, together these characteristics link them into a healthy and viable regional municipality.
