Contract Type FiledFebruary 9th, 2022The Putnam Valley Central School District issues computers and school monitored email accounts as one way of furthering its mission to teach the skills, knowledge, responsibilities, and behaviors that students will need as successful and responsible adults. Students who are enrolled and attend full time in Putnam Valley Schools will be issued a laptop or mobile device to enable them to use a varied and exciting set of resources including computer applications, multimedia, and the Internet. While the laptop or mobile device is available to go home with many of our students the device is to be used as a learning tool and is for academic purposes only. Parents are an integral part to the success of this program. As with all forms of technology, home monitoring should be embraced and practiced. In order to keep the Laptop and Mobile Device Loan program successful, school officials, teachers, students and parents must act as partners committed to the same goal.
