Acceptance of the Work definition

Acceptance of the Work means acceptance by OWNER of the Work

  • The retention will be released upon Final Acceptance of the Work, and the County’s approval on the final payment request.

  • Final Payment shall be made upon Completion of the Work and shall indicate the University’s Final Acceptance of the Work and its acknowledgment that the Work (excluding any further warranty and guaranty obligations) has been completed and is accepted under the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents.

  • JEA's receipt or delivery of any equipment or other materials will not constitute JEA's Acceptance of the Work and will not constitute a waiver by JEA of any right, claim or remedy.

  • The Contractor shall return to the project and repair or replace all defects in workmanship and material discovered within one year after Final Acceptance of the Work, including any necessary labor and materials.


More Definitions of Acceptance of the Work

Acceptance of the Work means that the Project is acceptable to the Lessor and shall occur when each and all of the following events has been accomplished:
Acceptance of the Work means the date the Department issues the contract final acceptance.

Related to Acceptance of the Work

  • Acceptance of Tender means the letter or memorandum communicating to the supplier the acceptance of his offer (Tender) and shall include advance acceptance of his offer i.e. Letter of Intent or Rate Contract.

  • Acceptance Tests means those tests performed during the Performance Period which are intended to determine compliance of Equipment and Software with the specifications and all other Attachments incorporated herein by reference and to determine the reliability of the Equipment.

  • Acceptance of Bid means the letter/fax or any memorandum communicating to the Bidder the acceptance of its Bid and includes an advance acceptance of his Bid.

  • Acceptance Test is a test of the Features executed by the Customer to prepare the acceptance.

  • Acceptance Testing mean the tests, reviews and other activities that are performed by or on behalf of Agency to determine whether the Deliverables meet the Acceptance Criteria or otherwise satisfy the Agency, as determined by the Agency in its sole discretion.

  • Cost of the Work means those costs described in Paragraph 11.2.

  • Final completion and acceptance means the stage in the progress of the work as determined by the Contracting Officer and confirmed in writing to the Contractor, at which all work required under the contract has been completed in a satisfactory manner, subject to the discovery of defects after final completion, and except for items specifically excluded in the notice of final acceptance.

  • Completion of work means completion of the entire contracted work. Exhaustion of quantity of any particular item mentioned in the bid document shall not imply completion of work or any component thereof.

  • Construction activity means any clearing, grading or excavation associated with large construction activity or associated with small construction activity.

  • Letter of Acceptance of Tender means letter giving intimation to the tenderer that his tender has been accepted in accordance with the provisions contained in that letter.

  • Additional Work to mean additions or deletions or modifications to the amount, type or value of the Work and Services as required in this Contract, as directed and/or approved by the County.

  • Construction Activities means the disturbance of soils associated with clearing, grading, excavation activities or other construction-related activities.

  • Digital audio-visual work means a series of related images which, when shown in succession, imparts an impression of motion, together with accompanying sounds, if any.

  • Installation Work means the construction and installation of the System and the Start-up, testing and acceptance (but not the operation and maintenance) thereof; all performed by or for the Power Producer at the Premises.

  • Acceptance of offer means issue of letter of intent/award or memorandum or detailed Order/Contract communicating the acceptance of offer, to the successful Tenderer.

  • Construction Phase Services means the coordination, implementation and execution of the Work required by this Agreement, which are further defined in Article 8.

  • Construction Works means all works and things necessary to complete the Project in accordance with this Agreement;

  • Substantial Completion means the stage in the progress of the work as determined and certified by the Contracting Officer in writing to the Contractor, on which the work (or a portion designated by the Government) is sufficiently complete and satisfactory. Substantial completion means that the property may be occupied or used for the purpose for which it is intended, and only minor items such as touch-up, adjustments, and minor replacements or installations remain to be completed or corrected which:

  • Project Deliverables means the Project deliverables set out in Schedule 2. Project Material means all the material including but not limited to documents, computer software, and data stored by any means which is created by the Fellow in the course of undertaking the Project.

  • Installation means that the System or a Subsystem as specified in the Contract is ready for Commissioning as provided in GCC Clause 26 (Installation).

  • Tenant Improvement Work means the construction of the Tenant Improvements, together with any related work (including demolition) that is necessary to construct the Tenant Improvements.

  • Renovation means altering a facility or one or more facility components in any way, including the stripping or removal of RACM from a facility component. Operations in which load-supporting structural members are wrecked or taken out are demolitions.

  • Project Completion means the date, as determined by the Division after consultation with the Recipient, that operation of the Project is initiated or is capable of being initiated, whichever comes first.

  • Construction project means the same as that term is defined in Section 38-1a-102.
